Remembering Teresa Moura

From Lee Carpenter (CCGC Board President) ---------- It’s with deep sadness that I share with you the passing of Teresa Bird Moura. Having known and worked with Teresa and her family for over 30 years, it’s been extremely difficult to put together these words. Teresa literally grew up in the CCGC having been a member of the Dublin High Color Guard for four years. She was an outstanding student and performance, winning 3 circuit titles and a WGI bronze medal while at Dublin. She travelled with Dublin High to Ireland, Dayton, Buffalo and through-out California. After graduation she became the lead instructor for the Dublin High Guard and won two more circuit titles. After 40 years of being

THE CIRCUIT OF CHAMPIONS

The California Color Guard Circuit was established in 1964 with the objective "to promote color guard contests, thereby perpetuating pageantry and effectiveness of the member units".

2019 will mark the 56th season of competition for the Circuit. The C.C.G.C. has grown from the six charter units; Sacramento Capitolaires, Stockton Police Cadets, Raleys Raiders, Richmond Hawks,
Praetoriansand
the Rhythmettes, to a circuit of over 50 Color Guard units competing in 9 different classifications and over 25 percussion units in 8 different classifications.
